Spoilers for FFXIII-2 below
U-uh, Excuse me, kupo? What's your name, kupo?
Noel looked over to the Moogle, almost having overlooked it. "M-Mog?!" he exclaimed, rushing over to see his old friend. But, once he got closer, his smile faded a little. "… Sorry… you look like a Moogle I know." He scratched the back of his head, and stood up straight. "My name is Noel. Noel Kreiss."
Is that what everyone calls you, kupo?
Noel thought for a moment. "I really don't think anyone's ever called me anything other than… Noel."
That's a great name for a girl, kupo! You... are a girl, aren't you, kupo?
"Wha?! I'm not a girl!!" Noel was taken aback as he looked down at himself. Did he look like a girl? He shook his head and grinned. "You're a silly one."
O-of course! I was just... messing around, kupo! Ahem. Anyway, kupo. Uh. How old are you, kupo?
"I'm eighteen, almost nineteen." he said, nodding.
Really? Everyone lately seems to be strange, kupo... so... no offense...but what species are you, kupo?
"I'm a human." he said.
I knew that... It's just this light in here, kupo... my eyes can't focus... what do you look like, kupo?
"Well, this is what I usually wear."
"I also wear this outfit as a disguise, in the time I need to keep a low profile."
I-interesting...Which world is your home, kupo?
"I'm from a dead future after Cocoon fell on Pulse... however, I imagine that future is much better now."
I see... That's an interesting looking weapon, kupo. What do you call it, kupo?
"My sword is the Flame Fossil. It can also shift into a lance. I also carry a dagger, as well."
Cool! Do you know any attacks, kupo?

That's not bad, kupo..! Can you tell me anything about your past, kupo?
"My past... the future... that's a tall order." Noel smiled and took a breath.
Narrative
I was born on Gran Pulse, 200 years after Cocoon fell... Yeul, Caius and myself, the only three people left in the world. The Dying World. I was training sort of under Caius at that time, who planned to make me his successor to protect Yeul. I had proven myself by defeating a Behemoth, but learned that to do this, I would have to kill Caius as part of the tradition. I refused, and learned everything that would happen if Caius were to die. I was forced to face him, and was defeated... He left for Valhalla, and I went to Yeul, who was dying. I... I promised her we'd meet again. I wished for a chance to prove myself to Etro, and I guess Etro heard me... I found myself entering the Historia Crux, awakening over Valhalla.
That was when Lightning saved me, and charged me with the task of guiding Serah to Valhalla... to change the future. She sent Mog with me and covered me as I escaped through a Time Gate, but... after that, I lost most of my memories...
Soon after, I arrived in New Bodhum, and found Serah in danger... I dove into the fray and protected her, giving her the Bowsword so she could fight with me. We took care of the monsters, and discussed our plans. I told her about myself, Mog and Lightning, and found out she knew, having seen us in a vision. We go to a crystal meteorite that crashed nearby, and look to see Cocoon vanish, being replaced by another monster. We defeat it, and I tell Serah where (rather when) I'm from, and find that the meteorite was a Time Gate. I tell her about the artefacts, and found that even she was skeptical with my claims... but, at that time, I wasn't too sure of myself, either.
We exchange stories about our families, and we find her engagement pendant, given to her by Snow. She tells me about Snow, and him leaving her behind. This upset me a little... she was well capable of looking for Lightning herself, why did he leave her behind? I didn't understand it, but I asked her myself how she felt about what he did, that maybe she was waiting for Snow in vain.
We get back to the beach, and find things are different than what she remembers. We find the artefact, deciding to use it to travel through the Time Gate. I reveal to Serah that I am the last human from my time, and that her sister gave me the hope to change that. We fight off another monster, and decide to go through the gate, ending up in 5 AF Bresha Ruins.
We no sooner arrive when this giant arm thing attacks us, which we take care of before the PSICOM warships fire at it. We were detained, but soon released by Alyssa, who decided to help us stop the Atlas (the aforementioned arm). We find a machine which Alyssa says can control the Atlas, but, Serah begins questioning her motives. However, the Atlas shows back up, and since the machine activated, it was weakened. Serah and I defeated it for good, and learn that Alyssa is a Purge survivor. We activate another gate, and go through, ending up in Yaschas Massif 10 AF.
We see that the sun is slowly being blocked out, and I remember a story I heard about a fal'Cie blocking out the sun 500 years before my time. We decide that it's being caused by a Paradox after confirming what year it is. We try to get into the Paddra ruins, only to be challenged by yet again another monster. We defeat it, and both are saved by Hope as the monster tried to take us with it. We meet up with Alyssa as well. We decide to take care of the anomalies, as the area is being torn apart by a void, and we run into Caius and that era's Yeul. Caius challenges us because of our tampering with time, but before he can finish us off, Yeul stops him, and they both leave.
We end up in an alternate timeline, and meet up again with Hope, who shows us clearer images of Lightning, and Cocoon falling. Serah tells me that it doesn't have to be that way, that the future can be saved, and we go to the Void Beyond through another gate. Serah starts to doubt that she'll see Lightning again, but I knew we would. I told her that with every Time Gate we pass through, the closer we are to finding Lightning. We activate another Time Gate, and I noticed that Serah's acting strange... I wish I would have known sooner what was truly happening, but I guess to keep me from worrying, she told me she was fine. But, in fact... the visions she had experienced were slowly killing her.
We arrive at Sunleth Waterscape 300 AF, and Serah has another vision, falling unconscious. However, when she awakens, she gets up in a panic, and rushes off. We find Snow fighting Miniflan, and together, we defeat the monster. However, it reforms, and we're forced to retreat. I guess... heh, I was sort of harsh, but I demanded to know why Snow left Serah behind, and why he wanted to stay and fight when it was obvious that the creature wasn't going to die. We decide to follow a trail of Miniflan, and Snow hops on a giant Enlil for some reason.
-------
Noel sighed. "Just going to throw this out there, I have no idea why Snow did half the things he did."
-------
Moving on, we defeat the monster again and obtain the Artefact. We activate the Time Gate and I tell Snow to wait for us, and not to do anything stupid. We arrive in the Coliseum, and the Arbiter of Time. In exchange for us leaving, I get the Artefact, the White Hole fragment. Serah and I talk about Snow, and argue a bit, mainly because I questioned everything he did. And I mean everything.
We end that talk, and go to the Archlyte Steppe, where I keep Serah from being flattened by a group of hunters riding by on chocobos. We defeat another monster, and go back to Snow, who isn't waiting for us, but is on the ropes fighting a giant monster. After saving Snow, he and I get into another argument, and he starts to fade, entrusting Serah's safety to me. We notice a Pulse l'Cie brand before he vanishes, which I come to despise in him, and understand his motives.
We arrive in Academia, where everyone is Cie'th. We find Caius, who tells Serah and myself that we're paradoxes of time, ourselves. He then summons a horde of Cie'th to attack us. We take them out, and find Yeul, saving her from the Cie'th. Yet, we start to think that her fate of death is inevitable. Before she dies, she tells us Caius wasn't in the city.
As we go through the Augusta Tower, I express concern about Caius, that maybe he wasn't the real one. We ascend the tower, learning of the Proto fal'Cie, and that it had attacked. But, since we learned the forbidden history, we were told that we couldn't leave. At the top of the tower, we meet up with Yeul from Oerba, who gives us an Artefact and asks us to protect time. We learn who Caius truly is, that he's immortal and can remember all timeline events. We go back and fight Adam, and end up defeating him when Serah scolds Hope for creating it. Serah has another vision, and for a second, I fear that I had lost her. She recovers, and we learn that Hope had seen Serah scold him, and stopped the plans to build it. He then shows up, and expresses interest in building a new Cocoon which will be held up by five Graviton Cores, which Serah and I retrieve for him.
We all part ways, and as we enter the Historia Crux, Serah and I are separated, and I end up in the Void Beyond, where Caius is waiting. We fight, but I lose, and he impales me from behind. I thought I was dead, but I opened my eyes and was suddenly... Home. I was astonished, reliving moments of my life, not aware that it was all fake, and that Serah was watching me, I guess trying to save me. I started to rise into the light, but Serah grabbed me, and I suddenly remembered everything... the seer's affliction, everything, and realized that with every vision, Serah was dying. Despite all this, she wanted to continue to set things right, for Lightning. I settle things with Yeul, and decide that I need to stop Caius because we find that he was the one causing Paradoxes.
We go to a ruined New Bodhum, and find Lightning there, where we discuss Caius's plans, and how we can stop him. Lightning leaves and we go to the time prophesied of Cocoon's fall. Caius is waiting for us, and with some help from Sazh and Hope, and Caius escapes. We pursue him into Valhalla, and we desperately try to stop Caius from succeeding. I refuse to kill Caius, but he forces my blade, and dies...
Unbeknownst to me... I pretty much ended our world.
We arrive home, and I ask Serah if she is ok, if she feels anything. She happily responds that she's fine, and we see everything unfold while on Sazh's ship. Suddenly, though, Serah...
---------------
Noel's voice broke as he turned away, looking down the cobblestone path ahead of him, and looked down. "... Serah died in my arms." he turned back to the Moogle, a stone-faced expression gazing at the creature. "Soon after that, I realize, due to Chaos bursting forth and turning the world into Valhalla, that killing Caius... killed Etro. I had killed the Goddess, and due to that... time became subjected to entropy, and I suddenly found myself here."
He looked around at the town's features. Eternal night. Homely looking houses and shops. Noel was in Traverse Town.
"I have nothing left. But all I can do is move forward. Serah would have wanted that."
Hmm... well, could you tell me what kind of person you are, kupo?
Noel looked at the Moogle, and gave a small smile. "I guess if you couldn't tell, I try to be nice, and understanding. Can't stand it when people do others injustice." What Noel excluded was that he had a drive to do the right thing, no matter what. He even stood toe to toe with Snow about how he treated Serah, standing his ground, and not faltering a single bit.
[OOC: Noel also seems, due to his recent endeavors of killing Caius/Etro, to have developed a self-hate complex. He feels responsible for the destruction of time in Pulse, and for Serah's death, due to everything leading up to her death was his doing, despite Lightning's request to fix the paradoxes. He feels that no matter what, nothing can erase this sin, so he endeavors to travel alone, and is more bitter than he was in XIII-2.]
...Oh, kupo... Then... what side do you fight for, kupo?[/color][/b]
"I don't know about all this 'Light' and 'Darkness' stuff. I'm just fighting to save my home, my friends, and... Serah. I know she's out there somewhere, and I promised to protect her."
I don't mean to seem like I'm prying, but what dreams and aspirations do you have, kupo?
Dreams? Yeah, he had dreams. Most of them, realized already. "Yeah, I guess I have dreams... My dreams were to make a better future for myself, and everyone. To protect Serah, and to protect her.. our friends."
Ah, that makes sense, kupo... sorta... well, what do you like, kupo?
"I like seeing new places, meeting new people. I like spending time with friends. Traveling, having adventures... Even though the world hung in the balance, when I traveled through time with Serah, that was the most fun I'd ever had." He smiled. "Now, looks like I'm set on another adventure... This time, seems like more than just my world is being threatened."
Me too! Then, what do you dislike, kupo?
"I'm capable of fighting pretty well, but, honestly, I don't like hurting people. I like to try to take care of things peacefully, if possible." He looked at his sword, and sighed. Killing Caius... killing Etro... The very things he was trying to avoid, the virtue he tried to hold... he had none. Blood was on his hands, and he was unsure if he could ever wash it off.
I'll remember that... what's your weakness, kupo?
Weakness? He hated having his friends dangled over his head. If their lives were in the balance, he couldn't even lift a finger if it meant hurting them. "I guess the only way to get to me is... to use the ones I care for against me."
N-not that I'd ever attempt to use that against you or anything, kupo...! Er... next question! W-what is your strength, kupo?
"My strength? Heh, a world with no fighting. A peaceful world where everyone can live in peace. The world I've been fighting for since... since forever."
I never would have guessed, kupo! So, tell me, kupo.. What's the secret password, kupo?
"One sky."
Ah, well I am afraid I must go, kupo. One last question before I do, kupo. How did you find your way here, kupo?
"I'm a co-founder."
