U-uh, Excuse me, kupo? What's your name, kupo?
The hardened warrior glanced down at the small moogle as he attempted to stop her. She raised a brow as he asked her for her name. At first she was hesitant to even bother to answer. But, the moogle reminded her of Mog. That special charm that she had given to Serah. So she decided to play along and answer it's question. "My name is Lightning Farron.."
Is that what everyone calls you, kupo?
"Well I do have another name I go by..." A hand lifted up to rest gently on her hip. "Claire is my given name.. But don't you dare ever call me that.. I left that name behind."
That's a great name for a girl, kupo! You... are a girl, aren't you, kupo?
Lightning's eye twitched lightly at the inquiry. "Of course I am... I suggest you choose your words more carefully..." She warned.
O-of course! I was just... messing around, kupo! Ahem. Anyway, kupo. Uh. How old are you, kupo?
"I'm 21."
Really? Everyone lately seems to be strange, kupo... so... no offense...but what species are you, kupo?

"I come from a place called Cocoon, though it has long been abandoned. A new town was created by the name of New Bodhum on Pulse. But.. I have to stay in Valhalla."
I see... That's an interesting looking weapon, kupo. What do you call it, kupo?
"This is a gunblade.. Fromt he name I'm hoping you can guess exactly what it is.."
Cool! Do you know any attacks, kupo?
Lightning scoffed lightly at the question. Did she know any attacks... This moogle WAS dense. Could he not tell simply from her attire that she was more than just a civilian? Really now...
She quietly took a piece of paper and a pen and scribbled away. When she was finished she quietly passed it off to him. "Here."

"My past..?" She turned her head away, obviously not wanting to spill her guts to someone she didn't even know.. "Tch.. it's a story you might regret asking for.. I grew up on Cocoon... and when I was young, my father passed away... My mother followed closely behind him. They left myself and Serah alone to fend for ourselves in the world. I suddenly had the burden of the world on my shoulders and so I cast off my name to start a new life for myself. I became Lightning. Shortly after I graduated from school I joined the Guardian Corps. I was promoted up to Sergeant, giving me even less time with Serah. "
She let out a light sigh. "On my twenty first birthday, Serah told me she had become a l'Cie and that her and Snow ere going to get married... I didn't believe her... A mistake I regret. I said hurtful things to her that I wish I never had and only ended up causing her more suffering." Her gaze became dead serious as she continued her story. "Serah was captured by the fal'Cie that made her and so I went to save her. I volunteered myself for the Purge in order to reach her. Only, after I had arrived, it cursed me to the same fate it had my sister. I had become a l'Cie.. Someone else's tool with a fate I thought I couldn't escape.
"I made a few... friends along the way. We all had our differences and clashed with one another but.. somehow in the end we made. We set out to defy our fate, the focus given to us. To destroy Cocoon. We fought it. Marched a long way to reach Eden and destroy Orphan who had been controlling us like the little puppets he had raised us to be. So we ended him. And as Cocoon fell, Vanille and Fang sacrificed themselves to save our home.. They held it up with a large crystal pillar and gave us all a second life."
Her words stopped for a moment. "Most of us. After that I had been taken to another world.. the memories are hazy but it had been a battle of the gods... and I had yet again been pulled in as a tool to fight." She scoffed at the thought. So many times she had been used and to what end?
"Even after returning home, right back in the moment that I had been plucked from my own world, I was torn away again from my sister..." He eyes grew sad and solemn. "I caused my own sister's death... After being ripped again from my own world and time I was thrown into the world of Valhalla where time doesn't exist. There I heard Etro's Will and became her guardiant and protector. I thought I could atone for my past mistakes.. I was wrong." She placed a hand lightly over the small emblem on her chest. "Serah gave up everything to help me, with the hopes we'd get to go home. Together.. And my actions ended in her death... I crystallized myself in order to keep Serah's memory alive before waking up at time's end. A mysterious portal presented itself to me there. and I ended up here."
Hmm... well, could you tell me what kind of person you are, kupo?
How many of these stupid questions were there? With a heavy sigh, she answered. "I Tend to like to do things on my own.. My OWN way. I do what I feel is best for me and those around me. People say I'm... a bit harsh sometimes with my words and actions. And they may be right. I'm starting to learn to trust others more, knowing I can't do everything on my own." It was a little demeaning to have to flat out just blurt her own personal thoughts. Especially about her own personality.
"I'm very headstrong, and when I'm determined to do something, I make sure I get it done. No matter the cost. Though, I've realized sometimes my decisions are not exactly the best. I can only keep pushing forward to a brighter future. I'm loyal to those close to me, and though I don't show it, I truly care for each and every one of them."

The warrior's eyes lowered to stare at the floor. Her dreams? They had already been shattered and tossed out of her reach. At least for now.. "I dream of a world... A world where everyone is happy and together again. A world where my sister still exists and me, her, and all of our friends all live peacefully. I want my sister back. And I want her to be happy."

"Like?" She gave it a quick thought.. Honestly, there wasn't much anymore that she truly 'liked'. "My sister and my friends...And my gunblade of course. What kind of warrior wouldn't like her weapon?" She tapped a finger lightly on her lower lip. "And Odin. He's been my faithful companion through everything. I don't know what I would have done without him."
Me too! Then, what do you dislike, kupo?
"Idiots.." She replied coldly, looking down at the moogle accusingly. "I dislike anyone who tries to use me as their puppet.."

"You really DO have a death wish, don't you..?" She glared at the tiny moogle. She wasn't about to give up those secrets to anybody. As if the whole world needed to know her little sister was her greatest weakness.

"My friends. As long as I have something to fight for, I won't ever give up. As long as their is still the smallest ray of hope, I'll continue to fight."
