U-uh, Excuse me, kupo? What's your name, kupo?
The teen halted mid-step, blinking and throwing a curious glance over his shoulder. Seeing the familiar white creature, curiosity broke into amusement, and he grinned, waving. "Hey there! I'm Sora."
Is that what everyone calls you, kupo?
"Pretty much." Turning on his heel, he laced his hands behind his head as he looked up in thought. "Well, I did get called "star-fish head" a few times when I was a kid.... plus there was this one time people kept calling me Roxas." He wrinkled his nose in distaste, dropping his hands to cross over his chest. "But I don't really count those. I'm just Sora."
That's a great name for a girl, kupo! You... are a girl, aren't you, kupo?
"Wha- No!" He jumped, hands waving frantically in denial. "No, no, no, it's neutral, okay? Gender, neutral!" He emphasized the two words with a flip of his hand before he flung his arms up. "Look, mom chose the name so I'd have something whether I was a boy or a girl, okay? But I'm obviously a guy."
Leaning back, the teen scowled expectantly at the offender. He liked his name and all, it just got annoying when others teased him for being "girly" about it.
O-of course! I was just... messing around, kupo! Ahem. Anyway, kupo. Uh. How old are you, kupo?
Pacified by the Moogle's apparent explanation, the teen's scowl lessened. "Fifteen. Oh, but I'll be sixteen in a few months."
Really? Everyone lately seems to be strange, kupo... so... no offense...but what species are you, kupo?
"Well that's easy. Human of course." And his grin came back. "Though I've tried out other forms. Ya know, for work."
I knew that... It's just this light in here, kupo... my eyes can't focus... what do you look like, kupo?
"What? You mean you still don't know who I am? That's surprising. Well, first time for everything."
Spotting a small patch of light, Sora strolled, shifting his weight on one foot before lifting his chin.
I-interesting...Which world is your home, kupo?
Still looking up into nothingness, Sora was still for a moment as he thought of the question. "The Islands. Well, Destiny Islands." He swung his arms down, one hand on his hip as he considered it, closing his eyes briefly in remembrance. "It's a nice place. It's warm, and sunny all the time. The water is calm and clear. And the people there are really friendly. It's a good place." He opened his eyes again and smiled, with just a touch of melancholy. "I'd like to go back soon. But that's gonna have to be put on hold for a while longer. There's still some stuff we gotta do."
I see... That's an interesting looking weapon, kupo. What do you call it, kupo?
"Huh? How did you know I had one?" Sora raised one eyebrow in suspicion, tapping his chin. "You sure we haven't met before? Well, guess it can't hurt." He held out his hand, the zing of magic echoing into the walls of the town as the light appeared, then faded.
"This is my keyblade. The one I first started with. It probably doesn't look like much right now, but trust me, it's carried me through a lot."
Cool! Do you know any attacks, kupo?

WARNING! SPOILERS FOR KH I, II, AND 3DAND BBS IF YOU KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR! READ AHEAD AT YOUR OWN RISK!
"Now where do I start... you already know I'm from Destiny Islands, right? Well, it's been me, Riku, an' Kairi for as long as I can remember. Tidus, Wakka and Selphie came later. Thing is, Kairi wasn't from our Island, she actually came from another world. And Riku figured that if she had a way to get here, then maybe we could find a way to get to her world. We talked about forever, but eventually we built a raft.
"Now, I'm not to sure what happened here exactly... see, there's this guy called Xehanort, and he's bad news. I didn't know it at the time, but he had placed himself on our Island that night, waiting for us. It wasn't him though, it was his heart or something from the future so he could get to us from the test- but I'll come back to that. Anyway, the door to the heart of our world was opened. I think Riku did it, but I dunno if it was really him or Xehanort's heartless- I mean, wait, he was going by Ansem at the time. Either way, our world was swallowed, and I got separated from Kairi and Riku, after I got this." He held up his kingdom key. Bringing it back down, he held it against his palm and lay it on his lap.
"Leon found me in Traverse Town, and he told me about the heartless and the keyblade. I didn't really want to believe him at first. I wasn't too happy about everything, especially the fact that I was the one who got it. But then I found Donald and Goofy,- well, more like they stumbled across me- and they said they'd take me on their ship to other worlds. And if it could help me find Riku and Kairi, then I figured: why not?"
He finally let his keyblade vanish, and leaned back on his hands, smiling a little fondly at the memories."It wasn't easy at first. I think I fought more with Donald then I had with anyone else in my life. But I got better, and we became a team. If it wasn't for them looking out for me, I woulda been a goner, that's for sure. I finally found Riku, but... turns out he was working for Maleficent. She was a witch who could control the heartless, and was kidnapping the princesses of hearts so she could open the door to Kingdom Hearts. But it turns out she was just being used too, by the same person who was controlling Riku to do all those bad things. Ansem, Seeker of Darkness. He wanted to get into Kingdom Hearts, because he thought there was a great power of Darkness hidden inside."
Sora laughed at that, feeling just a bit smug and satisfied."He was wrong though. It was light inside of Kingdom Hearts, not Darkness. We beat him eventually. With Riku's help. He held him back when I delivered the final blow. Turns out he's more stubborn then Ansem gave him credit for. I coulda told him that. Riku doesn't let anyone boss him around."
There was just a hint of pride as he spoke of his friend. Sora shifting forward again. He brought one knee up and draped his arm across. "But we still had to close the door to Kingdom Hearts, to restore the balance of the worlds. The King had to jump in so he could seal the door on the other side. And Riku... he got locked in there too. So of course, that just meant me an' Donald an' Goofy had to go off again to find them! That's why I couldn't go back with Kairi- oh, yeah, I... kinda forgot to mention how I found her, huh? Hold on, I'll explain that in a minute. Because this is where it gets complicated."
Putting his legs down and crossing them again, Sora leaned over, gesturing quickly with his hands as he tried to put his point across. "Okay, so I kinda told you about heartless, and that Maleficent was controlling them, right? Well, Ansem, Seeker of Darkness was someone we thought had been trying to research the heart of the worlds and the Heartless, but he wasn't actually Ansem the Wise. He had an assistant, Xehanort, and he basically called himself Ansem and did all sorts of crazy stuff. Thing is, he became a Heartless. That was the thing we had been fighting against until now. But he also had a Nobody, and this Nobody formed Organization XIII. Their goal was to get to Kingdom Hearts too, but through different ways. And they managed to get a hold of my Nobody, Roxas.
"Okay, going back to how I found Kairi. She was one of the seven Princesses of Heart, and that meant her heart was pure Light. So when our Island was taken over, she placed her heart inside of mine for safekeeping. But in order to get her out again, I had to turn Riku's keyblade on me, and turn myself into a heartless."
He waved down any startled panic, quickly and smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry, Kairi managed to turn me back. But this is important, because when that happened, Roxas was born. I never got to actually meet him though. He... he had to be put inside me again, so I could wake up. Something happened to me, and I'm not too sure on the details, but basically I was asleep for a whole year, and Namine helped me out. Namine is Kairi's Nobody. They're formed every time a heartless is formed. In Kairi's case, it was 'cuz her heart was separated from her body and put into mine, so Namine was a little different from other Nobodies."
"Anyway, I still couldn't find Riku for a while. And we had to go around cleaning up all the messes Organiation XII was leaving around all the other worlds. I found some of my other friends again, and that was nice, at least. But then they went and kidnapped Kairi, and things went from bad to worse. They had been using Roxas's keyblade to collect hearts to try to create Kingdom Hearts. So now that he was gone, they were using me instead. Xemnas told them members it was so they could have their hearts back, but he was lying to them. He going to try to place his heart in all of them so that they could all be his vessels of Darkness. Though I didn't really know it at the time."
"Well, I finally started learning about Roxas, and what he had been doing and what happened to him. I finally caught my first glimpse of him in the Nobody's hideout. He was pretty cool, ya know? Strong. But he didn't seem like a bad guy, either. I still wish we could actually be friends..."
Trailing off, the teen was quiet for a few minutes, his eyes clouding in thought and lips turned in a distant frown. It was only a small bob from the Moogle's antenna that brought Sora back, an he shook his head quickly and smiled. "Right, sorry. Anyway, I did find Kairi. But Riku found her first. So I found them both, safe and sound. And man, you shoulda seen Kairi go! I'd never seen anything like it! She jumped right into a crowd of Hearltess and bam, bam, mowed through them like they were nothing! She was really cool. And even when we finally talked, she wasn't mad about everything she was.. happy."
His face turned red, only now thinking about how close they had actually been. It was a bit of a shocker, for a boy that had grown up without any of that kind of physical contact, even with his two closest friends. Clearing his throat quickly, he fidgeted before getting back on track. "Right, anyway, she was safe and sound. Riku had been hiding from me all this time, because he looked like Ansem, Seeker of Darkness now. But I could't care less. I was just glad that my best friend was alright. I mean I was afraid he might've-"
Sora stopped himself, not wanting to continue that train of thought. It was dark turn that even he didn't want to dwell on for long. But he had, unconsciously, during those long months he searched. And the overwhelming relief and joy he felt from seeing Riku alive, well, the reunion had been memorable to say the least. He settled back down, trying to get back on track. And as he spoke, his excitement climbed up and up and up, his grin nearly splitting his face.
"We did manage to turn him back, though. An explosion from the real Ansem's machine had enough light to combat the fake Ansem's darkness from Riku's heart. And together we were unstoppable. We took down the Organiation, and fought Xemnas too. It was awesome, you shoulda seen it- they never stood a chance! Riku saved my life a few times too, and together, we beat Xemnas, escaped the Realm Between, and with Kairi's help, got out of the Realm of Darkness and back home!"
A declaration of victory, accomplishment- everything Sora had viewed that moment. His friends were back, they were on the Island, and everything was safe. Well, so he had thought. He settled back down, the smile never leaving his face.
"We got a message from the King soon after, though. He said there were other people that needed our help. And I couldn't just leave them on their own. So I agreed. But first, Riku an' I needed to take our Mark of Master Exam."
He sighed heavily flopping his head forward, and rubbing his scalp. If all that last stuff wasn't complicated enough, here was where it still made his head spin just thinking about it.
"So, for our test, we had to go back and wake up these sleeping worlds that hadn't been fully restored to light. But to do that, Riku and I had to start from our Island the day before it was swallowed into Darkness, because that was where all the other worlds were. An' you remember when I mentioned Xehanort's heart? That was him from the future, he put himself there an' took over from the test, leading us into a trap. Well, leading me, anyway. So, those vessels of Darkness I mentioned before? He was trying to create thirteen shards of darkness to clash with shards of light to create the true "ki-blade" or something. But when I took down the Organization, he decided to use himself, all from different points in time! Crazy, right? I'm still trying to wrap my head around it."
"But anyway, he only had twelve of those, so... he tried to use me as the last one."
He crossed his arms, and started to fidget unconsciously, the knot of unease growing in his stomach. "And it almost worked too. If it wasn't for Riku saving me, I wouldn't be here, and the worlds would probably be gone by now. And..."
He paused, the memory of that point after he fought Ansem coming back to him easily. He had thought about it a lot, because it still left him befuddled every time he thought about it. He felt like he was falling, nearly swallowed completely by the darkness, and then... a feeling. Like something- or someone reaching out to save him. A presence that was familiar and comforting all at once. But no matter how he looked at it, he just didn't think it was Roxas. It was more of a hunch than anything, but when he really thought about it...
"I think... the keyblade protected me too. I mean, it was the same presence I felt when I first received the keyblade. Can't be sure though. Either way, I know my friends saved me. Lea did too, believe it or not. Oh, that's "Axel" he used to work for the Organization, but he's okay now. So I'm really glad we have him on our side. And Riku's a Keyblade Master now! He passed with flying colors, just like I knew he would! You shoulda seen the look on his face. I don't think I'd ever seen him so surprised."
"And, well, that's where we're at now. Don't worry if you can't remember everything, it's a lot to remember. Trust me, I know."
---------------------END SPOILERS!---------------------
Hmm... well, could you tell me what kind of person you are, kupo?
"Well... I like having fun. I can get along with people pretty easy." He rocked on his heels. "So I like to think I'm friendly. But I'm definitely not a push over. I'll fight if I have to and I swear, if anyone slugs me, I hit 'em right back even harder. But I like to give people second chances, too. There's still a chance to be good friends, even with a bad start."
"Let's see... I'm not really book smart. Even as kids, Riku was the brains of the operation. I was just the muscle. Well, kinda. And I still am, I guess, but I'm cool with that. I just do what I need. Thinking about it doesn't really do me a whole lot of good. I follow my heart. It's gotten me through a lot so far. Well, for the most part."
Heartfelt and sincere, the boy was also very emotional. A touching scene or reunion was enough to make him tear up. Though he would never admit outright to it, anyone who knew him personally knew it to be true.
...Oh, kupo... Then... what side do you fight for, kupo?
"Fight for Light. Always have, and that's not changing any time soon."
I don't mean to seem like I'm prying, but what dreams and aspirations do you have, kupo?
"Dreams? Ha, that's kinda a tough one. I guess the only "dream" I have is... putting a stop to all this. I like doing what I can to help people, but I don't like the idea of my friends being in danger. I want peace. And just have everyone back home. Back where they belong."
He felt a flicker for a moment, a flutter in his chest, and he put a large hand over his heart, his expression solemn. Roxas... and the other presence. One he did not have a name for, but one that tugged at his conscience nonetheless. They needed to be free.
"Everyone deserves that. And as long as I have the keyblade, I'll do everything in my power to get us there."
Ah, that makes sense, kupo... sorta... well, what do you like, kupo?
"What do I like? Do I have to choose just one? Well... I like all my friends. And ice cream. Sea Salt's my favorite. Oh, but I like skateboarding too, it's a good way to let loose. And then there's racing, and cycling, not to mention bouncing..." The teen started counting off on his fingers, rocking from side to side as he ticked off as much as he could remember. He paused, rubbing the back of his scalp. "Man, what don't I like? I guess I can narrow it down to... my friends. I like just being with them. Hanging out, having fun, stuff like that."
Me too! Then, what do you dislike, kupo?
He was quiet for a minute, trying to consider that. After forcing his mind to remember everything he did like, it was hard to switch gears. "Well... I don't like people getting hurt. Especially my friends. And I don't like the idea of running away from people who need help. And I don't like standing still." He laughed lightly, scuffing the floor with his shoe before swinging his arms down. "Yeah, I know, funny, right? Thing is I'm always going somewhere. There's always so much happening. And I can't sit still for long anyway. So fine, I like a nap every now and then, but I'm not as lazy as I used to be, and don't let Riku tell you otherwise."
I'll remember that... what's your weakness, kupo?
"My... Weakness?"
There was one he knew of. One glaring one that he couldn't ignore even if he tried. It had nearly cost him his life, the war, and his friends. The problem was, he couldn't exactly remember what it was. He knew it was him running... and fighting... there was something important in there that had been the key to his downfall, but for the life of him, he couldn't remember what it was. So he had to ignore it.
"...Well... I guess I'm easy to trick. Only thing I can think of." Shaking his head, he shrugged.
N-not that I'd ever attempt to use that against you or anything, kupo...! Er... next question! W-what is your strength, kupo?
The uncertainty on his face melted away as he smiled, eyes brightening in happiness and acceptance. "That's easy. My friends are my power."
I never would have guessed, kupo! So, tell me, kupo.. What's the secret password, kupo?
"Password?" Sora cocked a brow and before blinking and jumping. "Wait, I knew it! You were totally pulling my leg this whole time, weren't you? Man... alright, fine, it's Admin Blocked."
Ah, well I am afraid I must go, kupo. One last question before I do, kupo. How did you find your way here, kupo?
"Well, I came here like how I always do. I followed my heart."Read as random happenstance. Like he always does. >.>

I followed my heart."
