You don't seem like you're from around here, kupo. What's your name, kupo?
Turning her head towards the familiar looking white creature Tamesis revealed a glimmering smile as she slide towards it curiously, hovering upside down to look it in the eye, as she refused to truly get down on it's level.
"...I am known as Tamesis." She purred.
Is that what everyone calls you, kupo?
She chuckled. "Perceptive. I see you know a great Entity with many names and forms when you see one. I am also known as Mother Darkness, End, Entity of Shadow and, if you're more low key, just Darkness."
That's a good boy name, kupo. You are a boy, are you not, kupo?
Tilting her head, she began to hover right side up. "Mmm... I suppose that's actually a fair question. Truthfully, I am a persona of the Darkness, therefore in reality I have no gender. I don't need one, and darkness doesn't have one. Though I prefer female terms. I find them much more appealing."
Apparently, you cannot tell when I am joking, kupo. You must be an old man with no sense of humor, kupo. How old are you, anyway, kupo?
She arched a delicate eyebrow. "Forgive me, then. I don't understand ... Mortal... humor." Her tone suggested less of understanding and more of warning as she allowed her temper to show only in the glowing of her violet eyes. "...I existed before Time itself, so my age is best known as simply, 'Eternal.'"
You are he funniest moogle I have ever seen, kupo. What sort of creature are you?
Her temper snapped. "Tell me, mortal, were you born moronic or did you simply grow that way? Do I look like anything less than an almighty Entity? Fools..."
Well of course I can't see you very well, with you standing in the shadows like that. How could I tell what you look like?
"I am not bound by any body and can appear in whatever form I like... Most of the time I prefer this form; young, female with long dark hair and lavender eyes that glow violet."
Hmm... and where do you hail from?
Her temper was calmed as she considered this question. No one had truly asked her that while knowing what she was. She had usually given vague answers or outright lies... but truthfully, there wasn't a word for it... "...I came from... outside all Universes... and I reside in everything." The answer was not a lie at all, in fact it was more the truth than anything else she could have said, but it was incredibly vague as well.
I see... That weapon you have there. What is it?
"The Blind Prophet is a magic stave that appears to be silver and has a crescent moon shaped blade at the end."
A nice weapon... but it's only so good as it's owner. Do you know any techniques?
To Be Announced
Hmm... Being here you must surely have a past. Can you tell me about it?
The goddess hovered, legs crossed delicately as she examined her beloved stave, "The Blind Prophet." Her eyes did not glow their normal wicked violet gleam as she considered the length of the story the Moogle was asking her to tell. "I do not think you would live long enough to hear all the details... pitiful mortal creature. However, I suppose it is fair to explain most of the details of why I seek out the Light. It is only fair I suppose."
With a toss of her head and a snap of her fingers, a small swirling vortex opened up before her and reflected all the bits of history she described.
"Before mortals and man; before the dark ages and enlightenment thereafter; there was only my sister and I. For a small amount of time we were alone in the nothing. Well, I say it was a small amount of time. Truly it was infinite and nonexistent. Time was not yet, and so there is no measurement for when. But I digress; before mortal kind, sister and I got along well enough. As the legends state, we created everything together. As time went on, more and more was created until finally there was the first war of the Dark Ages."
She smiled a self indulgent smile as she reminisced the ancient past.
"After trying for ages to obtain a peaceful recognition with the creatures I'd created, I decided to become more proactive in my approach. It's... how do you mortals say it...? Oh, yes. More my style. Hehehehe... Well, some mortals didn't like this. Others quite appreciated it. And so the dark ages began. The beginning of the seven deadly sins and the seven divine virtues. They were the children created among the mortals' brushes with the Gods. Although... truthfully... God is a mortal term... I am Darkness, not simply a ruler over it as the word God suggests. The term I prefer is Entity. I am the Entity of Darkness. I am all Darkness." She let a half smirk show before her violet eyes slid over to view the tiny Moogle.
Suddenly her eyes turned sinister and angry. "...And then... the day of betrayal..."
Tamesis launched herself up from her lounging position and glared down, her hands open at her sides as if at any moment she would gather dark energies and unleash them on the tiny white fluff ball in a black cloak.
"My dearest sister... decided to heed the ridiculous claims of the mortals... and seal me away so that the worlds might rest and gain respite from my ... "tyranny..." Tyranny! They call me a Tyrant! HA! They are the leeches who suck from me the very marrow of my bones and then claim no responsibility nor gratefulness when my powers are bestowed! For over five millenia I was a prisoner in my own mind! Do you have any idea what it's like being able to feel every creature, every star, every universe... and yet be completely alone regardless!? DO YOU!?"
She hovered, back straight, no longer lounging but standing in a more ready to attack position, her fingers twitching spasmodically as if she were struggling against something. Suddenly she relaxed back into a sitting position, still hovering as she once again looked disinterestedly at her stave.
"... I had returned, as was planned, after balance had finally been restored. Then... upon escaping, I made known my intentions to my sister and my sister alone. She shook her head and stated I had learned nothing. Then she proceeded to say she would give me one last chance..." she trailed off into silence.
"... Well of course I was going to start up the Dark Wars again. Who in their right mind would sit in the prison of their own existence, practicably a thinking, seeing coma, and not plot revenge? Not on my sister, of course. She was only doing what those cretinous beings asked of her. She was family. However..."
Her eyes glared and glowed, a strange aura emanating about her. "... After the end of the Second Dark Wars and still I had not gained what I desired, I was angry and began pushing forth more of my power, demanding their attention and their respect... and the balance began to crumble once again. Once more my sister opposed me. This time, she came with a single purpose. To seal me away until I could be "taught the error of my ways towards the mortals." Error. An Error? Hardly! Our fight existed outside of time and outside of the universes so that the crumbling balance would not be dissolved. The struggle seemed unending before finally she began to prepare to seal me away. ... I had never felt fear before that moment, creature. Fear is something mortals and creatures that have ends do. Not great and powerful Entities with no ending. ... Or... so I had thought. In a great burst of Darkness... I had unleashed my entire fury on my sister... and snuffed out the light as one snuffs out a candle."
She seemed strangely quiet for a long time before casting her eyes down at the tiny creature.
"...And that is all you need to know."
Then answer this... what kind of person are you really?
She rolled her eyes before grinning sadistically down at the unfortunate Moogle who addressed her. She tapped her chin thoughtfully for a moment before leaning forward, still floating, letting her legs cross behind her like a daydreaming school girl on her bed.
"...I guess you could say I'm ambitious. I have desires and I make them happen, by any means necessary. I have a more proactive personality than my darling beloved sister. I believe in getting up close and personal in my dealings with my subjects, be they fellow gods or mortals. I plan to be the ruler of all Universes and the most revered Entity of all times. Although I suppose you could say... I let my ideas get the best of me... or rather, that's what SHE used to say.
According to a few of my close family members... I am unpredictable as the sea and more bitter than the icy northern winds; more searing than fire with my words and harder than diamonds in my manners. I'm also told I can be terribly childish and cruel, but I don't see it that way at all. One can't be serious all the time. Especially when mortals make teasing them so easy. As for cruelty... Sometimes one must be ... cruel... to be kind."
So then, what side do you affiliate with?[/color][/b]
"I affiliate with myself. I AM darkness."
Every strength is wielded for a reason. What are your dreams and aspirations?
"That should be simple enough. If you've been listening, my dreams are to be revered and worshiped by all of the creatures in every Universe as the greatest Entity to exist."
Though it seems trivial, perhaps you should tell me what you like?
To Be Announced
Assuming you're telling the truth, then you surely must have dislikes. Do you care to reveal those?
To Be Announced
Interesting. Do you acknowledge your weaknesses?
To Be Announced
Weaknesses are strong when they are acknowledged. I'm sure you have strengths as well...
