Well, this was slightly awkward. Sora had gone here so many times before that shifting into a four-legged form was natural. But he had forgotten that all of those times before was, well, thanks to Donald's magic. And Sora knew battle spells, not actual magic. He sure as heck could not change himself into another animal. So in retrospect, it was a good thing he had transported himself directly into the lion's den, and Simba was able to recognize him before he was mauled as an intruder.
He stood awkwardly for a moment, lions still in their crouch as they regarded him, and he waved, smiling sheepishly. "Uh... hi there?"
Thankfully, it was enough to break down the aggressive defense. The little princess cub at least seemed quite taken with him. She was bold and playful, not to mention very energetic. Padding up to him. Sora knelt down and extended him hand in offering. "Hey there. I'm Sora. I'm, uh, a friend of your dad."
Sniffing it once, and thinking he meant to play, she batted at him with her paw, and it surprised a chuckle out of him as he bopped the top of her head. She lunged for his arm. She was positively adorable, and Sora could not resist teasing the curious baby lioness. And devolving into full-out playing. Her claws were sharp, and she did not know how to retract them yet, but they were at least tiny. Her milk teeth were sharp too, but Sora had been in so many painful battles that a cub's rough horsing around was nothing.
She pounced him, and he wrestled her back. She was only as big as his hands, and he just had to push her gently to bowl her over. He bopped her nose and brought his fingers just out of reach, then brought them back to let her catch him. He knocked her down and bopped her nose, and generally laughed up a storm as she tried to claw at his crown pendant.
From outside, the pride heard a foreign sound, but with no alarm from their king and queen, they paid it no mind. The mothers went back to taking care of their own cubs as they played and wrestled with each other. There was no immediate need for a hunt, and the hot sun beating down was too tempting to pass up a nice relaxing sun bath.
